Boomers BBQ and Catering

Traveling I-49 N, read 4.5 stars for this restaurant, and decided to give it a try. Ordered chopped brisket, twice baked potato casserole, and baked beans. Customer service was great, cashier was polite and friendly. Brisket had good smoked flavor however the portion was small and contained fatty pieces of meat. Sides were okay, nothing special. Overall 4 stars for this visit.

Usually good but this time I got chicken wings and was very disappointed. The menu stated they were "Jumbo" wings and what I got, I consider to be Small or even extra Small. I also don't consider 20 wings to actually be "20 wing sections" that would actually equal 10 whole wings. $31.00 for 20 "wing sections" and two large orders of fried okra and a small tip included. Not at all worth it in my opinion. Won't buy wings again! I admit the pics look ok and taste was good but not worth the price at all.

A mix between BBQ and comfort food. I was a little skeptical when I saw they had a drive through and it seemed like fast food. We got food to go though and took it to a park, because we have dogs. And let me tell you, it actually worked out very well. Everything was packed great too and with good thought. Lots of silverware, sauce and napkins. Great for a picnic! Food was good and not cold. Plenty to eat and enough left to make a couple sandwiches for lunch the next day. I liked the Texas toast and we both liked the chicken. As far as BBQ it wasn't life changing but holds up with other I've had. Including my own.

Drive thru experience only. #1 They open promptly at 11:00 a.m. #2 don't be in a rush, be patient the food is well worth it. #3 I have a beard and bar b que is very messy, most of all drive thru's never give you napkins or wipes to clean up. Boomers does. 😲 Plenty of napkins, and a moist towelette to wipe your beard and fingers with. Thank you. #4 Service was friendly and helpful #5 Also plenty of condiments were available to me, without asking for them. Unlike others drive thru's near by. Lastly the food was good, I've never given Boomers bar b que much notice during lunch and I was very glad I did.

I had the pork parfait, it was pulled pork and twice baked potato casserole layered in a cup. It was really good, meat was flavorful. If anything, I would add or offer green onions and bacon pieces in the potato casserole. We had cheese curds, they were great and fried pickles, they were good. The ranch dressing was packaged Otts, I wish it would have been like a house ranch, made fresh. Most may not be as picky about ranch as we are. My husband had brisket, he was disappointed, he said my pulled pork was much more flavorful and smokey than his brisket, which is always the opposite in pulled pork v. brisket. I'd go back, the menu has a lot I'd like to try. Prices very reasonable, very clean place. Staff was accommodating and friendly.

Me and my husband have been trying to find a good barbecue place close to us so we've been trying many types. With that being said we decided to try boomers for the first time the other day. I'll start by saying the ordering process was really fast. Getting our food was pretty quick The staff was amazing and very friendly. I ordered a two meat platter I got pulled pork and brisket The brisket was really good It was a little cold though very tender and moist but cold The pulled pork was super juicy a little over smokey though to me but other than that though it was good I got the coleslaw and green beans the coleslaw was okay it wasn't nothing to rave about The green beans were amazing We also got a basket of fried pickles to try they were really good The pickles were really sour but delicious My husband got a to meet platter also he got the chicken which was super juicy and delicious and he got the smoke baloney which was absolutely amazing and not many places around here have smoke bologna on their menu absolutely the best things were the chicken and the bologna to us he got the load it mashed potatoes which were not that good and he got the macaroni and cheese and it was okay. All around we would be willing to try it again.
